It takes dedication, and commitment, be willing to work hard and put 100% of your energy into accomplishing a very hard schedule. Usually a full-time student is one that takes three classes a quarter.

For most it means not working, and developing good study habits to be successful and maintain excellent grades.

A lot of students I know need to work at least 20 hours a week, I work 40. They take 2 classes a quarter and average about a 3.4. Because I work my grade point average is lower, about a 3.25.

Everyone that I know that does not work and goes to college averages about a 3.7-3.9. The more you work, the worse are your grades.

If I could study all the time I would be a much better student, but I need to work 40 hours a week, and 50 hours in the spring and summer. In fact, I may have to drop out of college because work is too busy for studying.

If I could do it all over, I would finish college asap, taking 4 classes and not working. Good luck, what it takes is dedication. Never lose sight of that goal.

Good luck.

Each school has it's own rules. You need to check with them.
