Besides having to abide by a California state law that mandates clubs must stop serving alcohol by 2:00am, in most clubs the owners literally start "kicking out" the patrons at 1:30am, regardless of whether is a weekday or weekend and the exit scene is quite nasty. There is no current "entertainment district" in the City of San Francisco that would extend the hours of operations for clubs to remain open perhaps until 4:00am on weekends. If San Francisco is to compete for tourism in a global economy, then it should start enacting laws more open and less "structured" and begin evolving as a major city should be. It's a shame a citiy like San Francisco provides a image of not being flexible and accomodating to it's own citizens and to the thousands of tourists it receives from all corners of the world. I will be visiting Lexington Kentucky in a couple of weeks. I'd like to find a good restaurant for a nice evening out. Is Desha's good? I have seen it on the KY's Visitor's Guide but I wonder if someone has their own personal opinions about it or any other restaurant. Thanks in advance! We are staying just north of down town.

We would like to have a nice evening out to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Looking for more of a traditional cuisine, no sushi/ultra-trendy food. Also looking for something to do before or after dinner. Any suggestions would be helpful. We are a young couple - under 30. Thanks in advance.

My basic knowledge of wine choice is that "Red wine goes with red meat and white wine with white meat". How do I order wine more effectively? Does wine selection depends on food? like wine for steak is different from wine for Italian food, or is it varies with meat? Shrimp has different wine that beef? please enlighten me

My wife & son went to dinner the other night. We don't eat out very much so this was a treat for us. It was a reasonably nice restaurant and I expected to pay $100 plus dollars easy. We could tell that the waiter had attitude and we felt uncomfortable.

Question: Would have it been okay to ask for another waiter...leave and come back later, what would be the best thing to do?...after all it's our money!

I know that I do because I have been a waitress and bartender before. I actually usually "over tip" unless the service is completely horrible.

I think it's terrible when people leave lousy tips. If you go out to eat then you should expect to pay extra because of a tip.

Well first of all I live in Atlanta, Georgia and my b-day is coming up! Every year I only hang out with my bestest gurls and like those years this year will be the same. What we do is go out to a nice restaurant, eat, and then maybe go out clubbing or bowling or whatever. The thing is that I'm tired of going to the same old restaurant (Olive Garden) I mean I love it but EVERY YEAR come on! Can somebody give me some hints at what restaurant to eat and maybe what to do after that? It's gonna be on a Friday night!!! Help, please make my b-day a happy one where everyone is satisfied! Thank you!

I am taking my first trip to NYC and I just want to find a few places around where I am staying (Broadway Plaza in NYC) to have good places to eat period. Moderately priced would be fantastic but if I must spend a little bit pf money to enjoy a nice meal then so be it. I need addresses or streets or places that I can Google. Thanks for helping me in advance.

Enjoy your day!!

Its my boyfriends bday this weekend and he loves sushi. I want to take him somewhere nice. I've heard that restaurants like maki maki are corporate so the food isn't that good.
