I would only like to spend a little over 100 each, we both don't drink and are in our 30's so don't need to go crazy. We are both open minded and like good food and dancing.

It's actually the second date, but, close enough. I'd prefer the Village/NYU area or the West Village, and not too pricey. Any suggestions?

Where is a good place in New York where I can have a cup of coffee, sit comfortably, study and possibly get into a good conversation with someone young and smart. I'm tired to the noisy crowded starbucks. There has to be a great place hidden around here somewhere.

We've done Carmine's, Tony Di Napoli's, Virgil's BBQ. Looking for a casual, not too expensive place to eat near the Marquis Theatre at Broadway and 56th. We're seeing the Drowsy Chaperone at 3 PM. Wouldn't mind a good diner or Chinese place. We want to eat before the show, around 12 or 1 o'clock. Good food is more important than cheap, but don't want to spend a ton either. Thanks in advance.

Hey! I'm visiting my boyfriend in NYC for Christmas. He's very familiar with NYC but he's non-Christian (Hindu) so he's not sure whats going on as far as Christmas-y activities for Christmas Day.

Also I would really like to find good restaurants open on Christmas. Doesn't have to be traditional. I'm up for Chinese, Italian, Indian, Thai, etc....

I can't afford to live in NYC, so I'm going to sacrifice and live in one of the surrounding suburbs. I know that in Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, etc. the accents are pretty thick. Does anyone know of any surrounding suburbs where the accent isn't quite as heavy?? Thanks.

My boss will be living in New Brunswick NJ, with travel to NYC and Philly periodically, and I am hoping to get him a nice guidebook that can direct him to good vegetarian dining, so he can eat how he likes on the road.

Does anyone know of any? I will be there for about 30 hours visiting the city (alone) for the first time. I will be near 7th Ave & Broadway. I like Italian (esp. pizza), Chinese, and Mexican especially. I would prefer to eat somewhere that doesn't necessarily cater to couples or large parties only, but where a single person would feel comfortable.

I will be there mid-December if that makes any difference and will be on foot most of the time, if not all of the time. I will be coming in from Penn Station too. Has anyone ever eaten at Tracks in Penn Station? Is it good?

Thanks!

Hi,

I've a few questions if anyone can adivse??

Where does good veggie burgers in New York? I mean the pretend meat kind, and not the ones with vegetables or kidney beans in?

Where else good is there to eat. Indian or Italian. Somewhere not too expensive, but nice?

Also, any good 80's bars/clubs? Coming in Feb and would like to know where to go for a drink, and like 80's music.

Would welcome any advice.
thanks

Im going to New York City in the next few weeks. I think i'll be staying in Newark (dunno how close that is to the downtown core or manhattan). Any recommendations on good places to eat that are relatively affordable?
