That is my typical lunch. Can you tell me how many calories I'm getting and also how much sodium? How about their french fries: are they still using hydrogenated fats or have they converted over to vegetable oil yet?

None of the chain restaurants (Applebee's, etc.), and I want something with $10-20 entrees. Preferably something unique and interesting that serves good food. And I live near downtown, so nothing out at the beach unless it's just too good to pass up.

We've checked out their website and they don't have the prices of their steaks listed.

I've figured we'll spend about $25 on appetizers and about $15 on salad. My dinner, lamb, will be about $30. My husband wants a steak and he doesn't drink - I'll have a couple of glasses of wine or champagne.

So, if you have experience with Bern's, if you could fill in a bit about a decent sized 2" thick steak, a couple of good and reasonably priced glasses of wine/champagne and a 3-cheese and fruit plate, I'd really appreciate it.

We'd love to go all out and spend as much as we wanted, but we aren't rich LOL - we wouldn't even be going, but I received a gift certificate as a bonus this week.

Thanks!

I'ts a long story, but friends suggested that I drink a glass of wine to help me relax at night. The problem is, I've never drank before so I need something sweet that will relax my body and that I can buy at a grocery store like Harris Teeter or Food Lion. What would be a good wine to try? Is there a difference btwn champagne and wine?

Thanks!

Where is the best restaurant to have good food, but also meet interesting gay men. (not young, drunk hustlers) Cafe Adobe is to trendy and Marfeles is to unknown.

Latinos like fried chicken. At least I do. Does it make a difference if chicken is spicy, is it the crunch, or the herbs and spices. Looking for personal opinions, or if you have family / friends that prefer one or the other, would like to know that, too.
