These are 3 great wineries to visit. The two in Castro Valley are in a secluded wooded area and are very close to each other.

This Livermore winery is a fun getaway located in Palomares Canyon. Bring a lunch and enjoy a picnic. They produce a wide variety of fine wines. On Sundays during the summer you can make reservations to attend their "Music in the Vineyards" concerts featuring live cajun, swing, raggae, jazz, or blues. 2005 prices were $35 a carload.

Stroll the beautiful grounds, explore the historic house, and enjoy the fine wines at this Livermore winery. Wines include Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sparkling Wines, Merlot, Claret, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.

This Livermore winery is located in Palomares Canyon and the route there is a scenic drive. The winery was established in 1985.

Wine Styles is in San Jose and
J Lohr Vineyards & Wines is also in San Jose.

take highway 280 all the way from san jose to san fransisco and on the way you will find many dilightful vinyards!!
