Anyone know, or can recommend, some good nightclubs/bars for New years eve parties/celebrations? First hand experience is much appreciated. Thanks!

Would like to avoid obvious choices (Donovans, RuthChris) and hordeously expensive (Gaslamp, Mr. A's)

Its for our 1st anniversary and would like something fairly quiet and romantic

Any suggestions

We like surf, turf, cheese and looking for a great dessert menu (sick of seeing usual cheesecake and mud pie choices)

Recently I was at a conference in San Diego - I stayed at the Horton Grand (in gaslamp district) and walked to the meetings (at the Manchester Hyatt). On this route, I found a GREAT breakfast place - one specialty was 'dutch baby' pancakes. I think the restaurant had a man's name. Now I can't find it - does anybody know the name and where exactly it is?

I was listening to the radio one day and I heard an advertisement regarding something about a pancake buffet and it's only like $5 if you come in wearing your pajamas. Has anyone heard of this place?

First time mom and I came up with the bay or beach for a couple of hours with a canopy of course. Any other ideas would be so helpful. I would love for friends and family to join us. I now live in Texas and we are flying to my home town (san diego) for our sons big week. We will have something for him on that Saturday. Thank you for any ideas! :)

I've been searching for the best Brownie Sunday in Southern California. So far I think the one at Studio Diner in Kearney Mesa is the best.

I've tried all the following plus more... BJ's, Tony Roma's, CPK, Ruby's, Oggi's, TGI Friday's, Denny's, PB Bar n Grill, Claim Jumper...

That's all I can remember. Besides that any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm a college student in San Diego. What are some good, cheap places to eat at? I know that Roberto's is good for Mexican and Niban is good for Japanese. What else is good and in that 5-15 dollar price range? Thanks

I am new to San Diego and am looking for really chill bars that are artistically influenced and cater to those more interested in quality conversation than drunken debauchery. A place that has good music but not so loud you have to yell into someone's ear to communicate. A place where people aren't there for upholding some fake image they are putting but rather for socializing with friends and getting to know like-minded people. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!
