Whenever I'm in the San Diego area, I head straight to George's. Depending if you want to go casual or upscale there are three restaurants in one location:
California Modern
Ocean Terrace
George's Bar
If you go for the casual menu on the terrace or in the bar, make sure you try "george's famous soup," smoked chicken, broccoli and black bean soup. I love soup and many years after first tasting it, it is #1 on my list of all-time favorites.

while you would be right here on the weekend of July 11 and 12, you're able to pass to the Over-The-Line journey on Fiesta Island. that is set up like a mini city on Fiesta Island, it is often in simple terms barren sand. Over-The-Line is a three man or woman sea coast softball activity that replaced into invented over 50 years in the past in San Diego (that's the 56th annual worldwide championship journey this twelve months). yet, the sport isn't the substantial charm as plenty with the aid of fact the politically incorrect area tutor that is going on in each single place. that's the only time and place on the sea coast the place you're able to drink alcohol (they get a particular permit). And, the communities can call themselves in spite of they decide for (there's a relentless drone over the loudspeakers for the period of the playing section the place they announce the communities and what courtroom they're meant to be playing on). there is fairly some bar & grill setups all around the island, and the nutrition is extra often than not staggering and occasional priced. in case you won't be able to get there with the aid of approximately 9 AM, you are able to park outdoors of Fiesta Island and take a unfastened holiday bus to the journey. in any different case they close down site visitors onto the island while the police officers think of there is sufficient automobiles there and basically the buses are allowed back on. there is often over 20,000 human beings there on the 1st day. The crazier day is on Saturday. Sunday's plenty mellower (human beings are hung over, i assume). yet, that is nevertheless fairly some exciting. that is going to quite be an afternoon you will not quickly overlook (except you drink too plenty and don't bear in mind something). And, shop $10 to be sure you get a software. there is hundreds of photos from the previous twelve months and a itemizing of all 1200+ group names in this twelve months's journey. your acquaintances back domicile would not have faith what you experienced except you're able to tutor it with a software.

Souplantation is good for healthy and variety, but a truly good restaurant try Phils, BBQ just down the road from the sports arena. Not super healthy, but oh so yummy. Another good and healthy place is Pizza Nova in Point Loma. They're also in Hillcrest and Solana Beach. You can a good healthy salad and/or a wood fired pizza. They have tons of choices.

there are lots of good places to eat here, but if you're going for health the best place i've been to was the souplantation in chula vista. it's a soup/salad/bread buffet. it's soOoO good! i think the fee is around 7.95. i know 2 plates and 2 drinks with a triple A discount will come to about $17.

Niban in Clairmont Mesa is excellent, if it's still around. Great, inexpensive Japanese food.
Broken Yolk Cafe in Pacific Beach does excellent breakfast too.
