I recently moved to San Diego, CA from San Antonio, TX. I live in the PB area and I can't find a lot of good places to eat. Can anyone recommend great reastuarants? My favorite ethnic food is Thai. I'm hispanic and haven't found any good mexican reastuarants. Can I have help here too? Any other recommendations are good too... thanks

That's almost like throwing away money that could be used for other things. The most I ever spent on dinner was $145.00 on a date. 45.00 plates each. drinks costing around $8.00 each. plus a tip. This was at a fancy Italian Restraunt in La Jolla, California. How freeking ridiculouse.

Can anyone give me an address for a place in SD that sells shaved ice? All of the places I've tried so far have only the really coarsely ground stuff. Thanks!

This happened to me and my wife in San Diego. We had ordered our meal and we both had "corned beef" with cabbage and other veggies. My wife took a bite of the corned beef and "spit" it on the her plate. She looked at me and said don't bite into it as it is "rotten". We called the waitress over and told her and she did not know what to do. She went to get her supervisor, and the manager also showed up. My wife was explaining to him that this meat is spoiled, and he said impossible. He then said, "corned beed taste different in different parts of the country". BS.
All we wanted was to get another meal off the menu, but we were not given that option. I then told him that I would pay double if you would take a bite of mine as I have not taken the first bite.
He said, "I am not hungry". People were listening to every word as we spoke with the three. I told them that you don't expect me to pay for the rotten food, do you? We were asked to leave, and pay for your coffee on the way out

We are going up to see a Storm baseball game and would like a recommendation on a good place to eat before the game. Family friendly would be best as we have a three-year-old.

I vote for Juanita's on the 101 Hwy in Encinitas. $3 and it's a meal, served with guacomole and a real home made tortilla.
