We are going up to see a Storm baseball game and would like a recommendation on a good place to eat before the game. Family friendly would be best as we have a three-year-old.

Sadly, Lake Smell-some-more doesn't have any good places to eat. However, I lived in Temecula/Murrieta area for 10 years so I can tell you some good ones. In case you don't know where that is, if you're taking I-15 south to get to the Storm game, keep going for about 10 minutes past Lake Elsinore. If you're coming FROM I-15 south, it's a safe bet you know about Temecula and/or Murrieta.

For the sake of simplicity we'll assume you're traveling south on I-15. California Oaks exit then left under the overpass and right at the light in front of Carl's Jr. Into the shopping center turn right towards the movie theater is a restaurant called Graziano's. They have pizza, chicken, etc. Casual italian pizzeria type food that's really good. And the chicken is "broasted" (part braised, part roasted) and not deep fried and it's super tender and moist. And although 3 is probably a little young, they have some video games.

Murrieta Hot Springs exit, there's mostly just fast food. Turn right off the offramp, and right at the light, there's Popye's, Arby's, Weinerschnitzel, and Mickey D's.

Winchester Road exit, if you want to go that far, is about 15 minutes past the stadium but it's the best for food. The local regional mall is there, and there's a lot of good eating. Exit and turn left, go over the freeway, and go through the first 2 lights. On your left is the Promenade Mall, and dining outside around the perimeter of the mall includes On the Border (mexican, but not really a lot of kid choices) TGI Friday's (may be crowded with loud twentysomethings on a weekend night but really good food), Mimi's (across the street from TGI, looks like a little french cottage, awesome food and really great people).

In Temecula, also near the mall but not directly in your line of sight from the freeway are Macaroni Grill (they let you color all over your table because your table is covered in paper), Ruby Tuesday's (I think, it was going in just as I was moving away), and Red Lobster.

Hope this helps! And enjoy your game!
