My husband, baby, and I will be vacationing there soon, and I was wondering if there are any inexpensive places you'd recommend. Some of the places we may be visiting include, Balboa Park, SeaWorld, Coronado, and Old Town. Are there any places that we HAVE to try, regardless of cost, and how much on average is it? We are on a very tight budget.

There was an article in the New Yorker several years ago that briefly mentioned an Asian food restaurant near La Jolla/UCSD with extremely spicy chiles. Dying to go, but I can't find the article and I can't find the restaurant. Thanks!

I want to take friend to breakfast this weekend. He lives in South County San Diego and I live in Mission Hills so I want to pick something a little central. Are there any good places to grab breakfast in Mission Valley/Fashion Valley? Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

By cheap I mean around $10 including dessert for each person. So no Ruth's Chris, but no Fuddrucker's either

Whenever my family and I used to frequently visit San Diego. We had a favorite restaurant that I believe was on Harbor Island right on the water. I don't remember the name, but I know I would recognize it if I saw it. It always reminded me a bit of a tiki hut. Any help you could give would be great!!

If you had to describe any tastes, smells or foods that remind you of the city you live in, what would they be? What things strike your senses as saying "wow, I love living here"

It's my boyfriends birthday in April and I was wondering what the best restaurants are? I looked in to dinner cruises but am iffy about the crowed (we're late 20's). Any more suggestions? Price is not an issue. Thanks.

Did you like it? Apparently they're called Dinner/Dance cruises, but I see they're only three hours long, do you actually get a chance to dance? What is the crowed and the music like?

I'm looking for food items and especially E. Wedel products. Any restaurants that serve Polish food would be nice too.
