What are the intended applications of the various DVD discs? I will soon receive a dvd player/recorder that will record on DVD-R/RW, DVD-RAM, and DVD+R and VHS tapes. I intend to use the machine to transfer my existing VHS tapes to disc's and save them.I will then use the machine to record tv shows again and again on a disc until the disc becomes unusable. What type disc's would you recommend I use for the use'sI have described Thanks for your comments

Pure Energy XL alkaline rechargeable AAA batteries purchased recently don't fit in a 15 year old Dynacharge XP battery charger . Also bought Duracell 900 NiMH batteries that are also too big by about a milimeter. What's up with this? It's been years since I've purchased batteries.

Is there a DVD copying device that will record a DVD with its copy protection and all.

I don't understand why a DVD that is digital information, can't be copied in whole onto another disc without a decrypting program. Isn't there any one to one device that will simply copy ALL the digital data from one disc to another without the need for decrypting?

Usually when new movies come out at Wal-Mart, they are sale priced to around $15 dollars for about 5-7 days but here recently for the last few weeks they have been full priced at $20 and a friend of mine was told that they are not putting them on sale at release anymore. Is this true?

I bought an Olypmus Ws-320M and the AAA battery dies out really quickly. When i plug it into the pc it opens (it relies on the electricity from the pc not the batter) so i thought if i plugged the usb device to a usb charger would the digital recorder fry or charge? on the back of the digital recorder it says DC === 1.5V:ANSI AAA. Is there any chance that an ipod usb charger could charge the digital recorder?

I'm really awesome and technologically savvy. I have a black and white television, a brand new Speak-N-Spell, and that new hit game all the kids are talking about: Crack the Whip.

I'm not really sure I want to shell out the cash for a super-sweet VCR. I mean, I know it's cutting edge and all, but wouldn't my friends want to hang out with me regardless of my NEW technology?

There's a new show coming out called NIGHT RIDER. I'm pretty excited to see it. I heard it's about some car and some dude who's huge in EUROPE.

Crap! My thirty pound cellular telephone just broke. Does anyone have any duct-tape?

I bought a remote control car for my friend's son. I have just noticed on the small print "Warning this product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm" What does this refer to? Is it the batteries? It is a remote control Spin Pro. Thanks!

Since the manfacturer's warranty covers the appliance for the first year or so, why spend a huge amount for an extended warranty because if something is going to malfunction, won't it usually happen within the first few month of use?
