Does xbox 360 come w/ 1 month of free xbox live gold??
If so, how to i activate it?

When you buy an xbox bundle from either walmart.com or costco.com , the bundle comes with a free 1 month subscription to xbox live gold, which allows you to play games online. Just turn on ur xbox, connect it to a internet source using a USB cable and activate your account as it is shown on the xbox. Or you can go to xbox.com to find a way to activate it from there.

I cannot speak about the XBox Live deal, that is something you'll have to ask Microsoft about. I'm sure if you tell them you activated your 48-hour trial before the RRoD and was unable to take full advantage of it, they will do something about it. I can tell you about the replacement. You'll need to call XBox and arrange things with them. You will HAVE to send your XBox to them before they will ship you a replacement. They have to give you a RMA number. In all likelyhood (and from what I've seen), the XBox they send back is a refurbished unit. The RRoD generally will give you a longer warrenty...that is because even some of the refurbished units are having them show up. It's Microsoft's way of saying "we screwed up and there's no logical explanation for this". The replacement doesn't cost anything, and I believe they're covering units that are out of warrenty. You'll have to call them and ask. The operator will give you all the details.
