How do I make it work so that I can watch it on a regular DVD player? ( to watch it on tv)

All dvds can play on any dvd player unless it's a copy.The dvd-rom drive on your pc is more forgiving than your stand alone dvd player. You can also download firmware update for the pc dvd drive to make it more compatibility. Your problem is with the dvd disc you use to record data and the speed of your burn. All dvd brands varies greatly in quality and some player will read dvd from a certain manufacturers and not the others. To get your dvd player to read the disc, you need to use high quality disc like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Use a burning speed of 6x or less to burn your dvds. If you follow my instruction i can almost guarantee you that your pc dvd drive and stand alone dvd player will be able to read the disc.

Use Linux, you can play any zone dvd on Linux. On Windows, you have to pay, pay and pay....

I think you have to buy a program to play zone one dvds on your computer
