Wal-Mart not putting DVD's on sale at release?

Usually when new movies come out at Wal-Mart, they are sale priced to around $15 dollars for about 5-7 days but here recently for the last few weeks they have been full priced at $20 and a friend of mine was told that they are not putting them on sale at release anymore. Is this true?

Remember, Wal-Mart is not the best place to shop for everything, try Best Buy.

I live in Central Illinois and the new relases run from $12-$23 at wal-mart here.
