I bought a satellite receiver so that I could use my satellite radio at work as well as in my car. I cannot locate a signal in my building though. Aren't these satellite signals stronger than regular radio signals? Is there any way to locate one? My office has no windows & the building is basically made of steel. Any suggestions?!

Should I go for an 8.5" or a 10" is there any advantage, or is it purely preference? Are there any particular spects I should look for? Is there anything I should beware of or be aware of?

I want to get a police scanner/radio for my boyfriend for Christmas, but I have no idea what all the different models are. He just wants to get the 411 about car accidents, etc. I'm hoping to spend $100-$200, but not sure if this is realistic. Any help is greatly appreciated!

These lighting gantries use the old round pin plugs found in UK before the fused flat pin ones we use today. This appeares to be standard wherever I have seen the roof/wall mounted stage lighting.

i need a device such as a scart selector which will allow me to run my computer through the monitor and any additional scart products i.e. games console DVD player VCR etc the problem is most scart selectors only have a scart lead to send to the output device whereas i need a serial output and at least one serial input.

10 points goes to anyone who can give me a direct link to the product I am after.
So I can purchase it.

Hello,
I am trying to get Sky tv in Europe. Lots of people here have got it.

However when the engineer came out, he spent all day and could not get adequate signal.

The only thing he could come up with was that opposite the house is some sort of radio/telephone transmitter. It looks like a mobile phone mast to me. Its about 50m away from house.

However other people in the street have some sort of satelite, prob not sky though.

Im in a house not a block of flats and in a city, not some place remote!

Anyone heard of a radio/telephone transmitter interfering with sky digital signal.

They said a 2-3m dish might work, but to be honest they said they couldnt say if this would work. Also they said they think its the mast but cant say 100% guarantee, just its most likely culprit.

Anyone know of this problem and any way around it. They said weak signal and we wouldnt get picture.

Thanks

I have an older toshiba 52" rear projection tv. I got Direct TV and tried to use the dtv remote to work the tv. None of the suggested codes worked so I tried the manuel method. It didn't work and now neither does the orriginal remote that came with the tv. I bought a universal remote and same thing, will not work no matter what I do.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM? I am lazy and don't like to get my butt up to adjust volume.

I like the funny answers people give, but I am looking for serious answer please.

I own a brother DCP-1000 but I can't get it out of the sleep mode to copy my papers. How do I reset the copier? My copier is not hooked up to my computer and I only use it for copying paper, not for faxing or anything else. When I press the green copy button, the button seems to be stiff. Help!
