Does all dvd recorders, if you have a dvd+rw or -rw disk they can only be compatible on the dvd record?

Question

like can the -rw or +rw disk work on both computer and dvd recorder to record shows? I tried I recorded something on a +rw disk then put it in my pc to watch then back in dvd player to record more and it would not let me record no more said not compatible.

In order for a DVD-RW or DVD+RW to work on a normal DVD player, there are two conditions:

1) The DVD-RW session needs to be closed.
2) Not all DVD players are compatible with DVD-RW and/or DVD+RW. This is typically in the documentation of the DVD player. Newer DVD players tend to support these formats.

If it cannot record anymore, then you need to delete the old data. It sounds like your DVD-RW is full. If you don't have a DVD-RW drive in your computer, then the session needs to be closed.

If I were you, stick with DVD-R or DVD+R. RW's can cause problems, when it comes to compatibility.

you need to delete the DVD if it is a DVD-RW if it is a DVD-R then you will have to buy a new DVD-R or DVD-RW to record on... if it is a DVD-RW put it in your computer and go to My computer right click on your DVD drive and click Open then if you are using Windows XP on the left hand side there is a taskbar there should be some text that says Erase the DVD/CD or something like that click that and it will bring up a box then just follow the directions and it will format your DVD so you can record on the DVD again

Very short memory. CD-R = is the comparable theory like DVD-R. It in basic terms could be study yet can't be rewrite and write. CD-RW = CD study write. could be rewrite, burn and study as many time. CD-ROM = Is the strain itself. you could no longer tell any different between CD-ROM and DVD-ROM.
