The movies play, I get display and sound just jumps like the old VCR's used to do when tracking needed adjusting. I have determined it is not the DVD player itself nor the cable adapter. I have not changed the cable to the VCR & TV. Could it be that? or the way I have it hooked up?

Every time I try to plug it in and switch it on at the wall, it cuts all my electricity out. Before I disgrace myself by calling their support line, does anyone know of any really obvious reason why it might be doing this????

I often leave my cell phone, ipod and nintendo DS plugged into their respective wall socket battery chargers, even if it says they are fully recharged. The question is, do the chargers still continue to use electricity even though the electronic item is recharged. Should I take more care and unplug them once I see they are recharged?

I watched a rented DVD at a friend's house. Her cheap player had started causing ALL of her DVD's to fade to a darker screen while playing, to jump, and to skip somewhat. We weren't able to finish the movie, so I took it to my house and put it in my player (an expensive Sony player). The DVD did the same thing in mine!!!

Remember now, ALL her DVD's were doing this - not just this one.

I had never had ANY problems whatsoever with my DVD player before this! I went and rented some more new release DVD's and when I put them in my player, they started doing the same thing as hers again!!!

HOW COULD A PROBLEM WITH HER DVD PLAYER GET TRANSFERED OVER TO MY PLAYER?!?!?!

This makes no sense to me at all, but it has happened somehow. I love my player - it records and plays CD's. I can't afford to buy another one right now. Please Help!

FYI - Her player is only a few month's old and I've had mine for about 3 years....

I have a silly problem. My daughter received a durabrand dvd player for Christmas. When we try to operate it, it always says "no disc" or "no valid disc." We have tried mutiple dvds, but none have worked so far. What are we doing wrong?
