Is this a DVD that you bought or one that you made? You coud try the following player. It is the best at playing all types of formats.

upgrade to windows media player 10, I wouldn't advise 11 if you can avoid it I find it is very slow. You may also need codecs for dvd download xp codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htm

A better media player is VLC from http://www.videolan.org not pretty looking but plays anything I've thrown at it

because it is probably an older brand and the pc doesnt play old haggi brands
