Is the use of a 60 hz TV imperative for the x box 360 and can I use a 50 hz TV when a game is 60 hz only?

I suspect that the question you should be asking, or looking in the manual for, is "Is the xbox 360 PAL compatible?"

In the United States we are 60hz and use NTSC television/video systems. In Europe they are 50hz and use PAL television/video systems. Unless you're in France where I believe they use the SECAM system as to former Eastern Block countries.
