While everything that waynebudd told you is correct, it's not as simple as just buying a replacement driver.
That is only true if you get the exact replacement that the manufacturer makes.
If you buy a driver from someone else, you should also match the SPL and the speaker impedance .
If one speaker's SPL is rated 3 db higher, the higher rated speaker will take less power to reproduce the same amount of volume. Therefore, one speaker will be louder than the other at the same volume setting.
A speaker with lower impedance will take MORE power to drive the speaker than the speaker with a higher rated impedance.
May I suggest that you buy new speakers?
BIC, KLH and Jensen make some very good inexpensive speakers.

depends on age of system. Fisher was top notch 25 years ago, but the label was bought out by foreign manufacturers.... speaker sound is 95% in the cabinet design anyway, not the driver. You'll find that a fitting (size) and capacity (watts) driver from The Source or wherever will sound just as good....
