Cameras - November 2007

i can't find my sony cybershot camera anywhere, but i have the warranty on it and it's not expired or anything. i know they will give you a new camera if the old one is dropped or it gets wet, but what about if i lost it. and i've looked EVERYWHERE!

please help :)

Yesterday i dropped my camera and it will cut on but all it shows is purple and white and i cant take pictures anymore i still have the recipt and everything from walmart it hasnt been a year yet since i bought it can i take it back or can you buy new lens caps for these cameras ???

the plug-in area for the wire hookup to the camera broke.
it wore out so i cant hook it up to the computer anymore.

I have been using my computer to download photos from a camera. Then someone brought his card to download photos and burn them on the cd but since then it can no longer read what is in the card. If i put it back in the camera I am able to view the photos. I need help on how i can retrieve my photos.

Hi,i think i decided what i want to do and i think its becoming a photographer.My birthday is December 1.I will turn 16 and i want to ask for a camera to start training on a new thing i want to do.

its a cannon power shot sd400, and it works fine, but the screen is broke. Its just white and black and looks cracked from the inside.

Ok so I've been interested in buying a dSLR lately and have been researching adamantly about it. I've looked on various camera review sites but I was wondering if there was anyone here who had experience with any dSLRs that are particularly good enough for them to recommend. I'm an amateur photographer & I understand that skill is a necessity that doesn't come with the camera but I really just want the best bang for my buck, as in I've got a limited budget and can't afford anything over $1K. I'm a spontaneous photographer and my last cameras have been nothing more than the regular point & shoot cameras, polaroids, etc. My family seems to dig Canon in particular though, and [from the overall review] they seem to be the most consumer friendly and inexpensive make of all the digital SLRs. I'm totally open to any kind of new suggestions though [i.e. other makes & models].

i've only heard of 1000mm lenses. but i'm just dreaming i can never afford any of this to be honest... but i just wanted to learn more and more about the longest possible lense.

i never dropped it,
i bought it today and was working great,
its a kodak c613 and
everytime i turn it on it turns on for 2 seconds then turns off, the battery on the screen is BLINKING,
i tried charging it for an hour but it still does it!
also, i never let the batteries fully charge! is this the problem?? THX??

I'm particularly interested in night and low light shots, with long exposures. My current camera only can get up to 15 seconds, but I'd love a camera that can get up into the minutes. So I was just curious what digital camera's have you guys liked? Thanks.

My Uncle told me he has a bunch of old camera lenses that fit on the Canon AE cameras. I don't really shoot Canons, so I didn't know the answer when he asked if his old lenses will fit on modern DSLRs like the Rebel. Any Canon pro, your input would be appreciated.

It's between a Cannon SD1000, an Olympus FE-280, or a Nikon Coolpix L14. The Cannon is the most expensive, but i dont know how good the coolpix or olympus is.
