Nikon made ("special order") the 2,000 mm "mirror" lens. It comes in its own case--which looked more like a trunk.

I think Zeiss (read somewhere) made one of a kind super telephoto for someone--see http://www.zeiss.de.

Currently, Zeiss has a 1700mm f4 lens. You can read about it in the Jan. 2007 issue of Shutterbug Magazine (shutterbug.com). No cost given but if you have to ask the price you can't afford it.

The longest lens on record is the 2000mm f4, developed by Leica during WWII.
