My memory card for the camera says that the memory card is read only every time i try to use it. It says that if i want to take a picture i need to switch it to internal memory. it also wont let me delete the pictures that are currently on the memory card and wont let me copy the images in the internal memory onto the memory card. When i tried to delete them on the computer it said that the memory card was write-protected. so im stuck with a camera that has pictures that i cant delete or switch to the memory card.. Please Help!

Yea,I've heard that it's the photographer 7 not the camera-but I'm interested to know what y'all think. For a beginner.I read a lot of stuff online, but personally I want to get into photography without having to deal with the tedious specifics (and you KNOW how unbearably tedious it can get),so I'm down to Canon EOS 400D & Nikon D80-once considered the new Canon 40d but the price is just unbelievable. So tell me what you think, share what you know-I'm looking for an entry-level DSLR that's rich in functions & can take good pics.

What would give the best quality results to convert 35mm negatives to digital.
Time wouldn't be a problem as not that many would need to be done and I would like to do it myself rather than give it to someone else. The cost involved would not be a major factor to be considered.
I have the prints for the negatives but a lot are not printed on good quality gloss paper.

can anyone tell me what they know about this lens (preferably from people who have used this lens)

Ive read reviews but still have nto decided whether to commit...
what are the pros and cons of buying this lens regarding anything you can think of such as low light, weight, blurriness of images, tripod use, what the lens is primarily used for and what photos it is bad for taking.

Is it worth it to spend the extra 500-600 for the f/4 IS??

or should you keep them on an external hard drive? If you store yours on CD's and DVD's, what quality should they be? will the standard ones at target or best buy suffice for years and years? Thanks.

I have a Canon Rebel XTi.

I've had no problems with other lenses, however, the lens I'm using now wont take clear pictures unless I get really close to the item/person. I tried out this same lens in the store with a test camera and it didn't do that, am I doing something wrong?

It's the Canon EFS 18-55mm lens.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I want a camera that takes GREAT quality pictures, and has really good zoom. NOT digital zoom...4x zoom is well, i'd get it, but it wouldnt be my first choice. I want a GREAT zooming camera. and I dont want a bulky camera, it needs to be a decent size.

every camera i've had makes my pictuers grainy or blurry etc. so it needs to be great quality

list some thank you

First off i would like to thank everyone for "raising" me and watching me grow as I learn to use my camera. I would also like to add that I DO know that just gettin on yahoo answers and asking questions will not make me a photographer overnight or maybe at all but all of your answers are still appreciated and I wouldnt ask if the answers weren't helping me. I have been playing around with M mode all week and now i have another question -- SUPRISE! - ok, so here it is. When i take pics with this camera, (in any mode) - and then i get on the computer and look at them I have noticed that the pictures that i take in the house have a light pink or peach tint to them. I know i can change the white balance to get different results or just fix them on photoshop, but i dont want to have to do that. My old camera had the same "problem" and there was a filter lens available to get rid of it. Is there a filter lens available for this on my Nikon D40? I dont want to spend more than 100 dollars.

Hello there!

I am new to using DSLR camera and I was wondering if it's possible to achieve those photos with smoothly blurred background (like this one: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/102/258269140_69235e841f.jpg)
just by adjusting aperture size? Or am I gonna need a different lens (200mm?)

Thanks!

I would like some pics of the SYTYCD performance in Chicago this Monday (if possible). I don't know where my cameral manual is to figure out the best settings for this. My options are auto, kids & pets, night shot (which doesn't seem to take good pics), manual, digital macro, I only use the auto setting so I'm kinda clueless. Would it better to use a 35mm camera?

I bought one of those digital picure frames where you can insert your memory card into and it will scroll through and play all the pictures in a slideshow. The only problem is that the memory card I have does not have all the pictures on it I wish to see in the frame. I have been uploading them off of my SD card onto my computer for a year (to free up room for more pictures) and now I want to get some of the older pics back onto that memory card. Only problem is that on both iPhoto and the Kodak Easyshare Program, I cannot figure out a way to put pictures back onto the card; the only option is to import rather than export. Is there a way I can get some of my older photos back onto the SD card so I can play them on my digital picture frame? Thanks!

The camera has enough memory for about 5 minutes worth of video.

The camera is placed on a table during recording and is not touched.
