I accidently dropped my camera while the lens was open and now the camera wont turn on. when it temporarily does its a black screen that says "lens error,restart camera" the lens seems to be jammed it wont go in or out. What should I do to fix this or to "restart my camera"

the cost to repair the camera might exceed the cost of a new one. But check some repair places to make sure. The best thing to do is the save your images while you can.

R.I.P. Canon SD630. It is now a paperweight.

Repairs - at your expense - will likely cost more than a new camera.

Begin shopping for your new camera. Use a secure neck strap or wrist strap so you don't drop your new camera.

its a reapir job..even if its under warranty, canon wont fix it free if its been dropped or misused. go their website and se how much to fix. i know from experience that its costs minimum to fix a dslr $180 to start. but if you send in they give you estimate before they fix
