The camera has enough memory for about 5 minutes worth of video.

if you have other videos recorded, you will have to free up some memory space by removing stuff from your camera. Your memory card may be full? There are several little things that could be the problem. you may want to invest in a larger memory card.

Check your video mode in your owner's manual. Some modes will be limited to shorter videos and some will allow longer videos. You'll find a table very near the back of the advanced manual.

Have you formatted your card or just deleted pictures when they have been uploaded to your computer? If you just delete various bits and pieces get left on the card - like old files - which gradually eat into the available space.
