I don't want to but the cheeper cameras because I'm afraid that they'll take motion pictures that'll come out blurry. Motion pictures like someone jumping.

I'm looking at buying a new digital camera soon, and am looking at the various options. Many seem to come equiped with the Lithium Ion battery. Is this a viable option? It seems that constantly having to charge a battery seems tedious, and keeps me constantly bound to a plug (when camping or in the wilderness, I couldn't use my camera after the charge runs out). How long would charge last in a camera with use with, or without flash? Also, would I be able to use regular alkaline batteries as a replacement?

For military photographer use, lighter and smaller the better. If it can hold a 70-200mm canon zoom lens a possible plus.

Must be able to hold both video and camera bodies.

Hello! I am a Master's candidate in Archaeology and I'm looking for a digital camera. I'm not looking for something super-specialized or professional grade but I was hoping someone out there (maybe an archaeologist or a CRM specialist) would have some advice as to which one to get.

It doesn't have to be top-line and I'm only looking to spend about 300 dollars at most but I want it to take video and give me good enough resolution to take thesis/presentation grade photos.

Any advice as to technical specs I would want or specific models would be great.

Thanks!

I plan on going to Las Vegas and I need a camera that will take good night shots. I want a camera that will capture all the lights and buildings in the background. Does anyone know which camera will do the best in a setting like that? The digital camera I have now is terrible and the backgrounds always come out completely black. Any suggestions will be great!

I remember that there was a certain name used for vertical travel focal plane shutters when they were introduced, but I just can't remember what it was. It may have been a propritery name used by whoever designed it in the first place.

Any ideas?

I have an older camera and I want to really get into using it. Is this one ok http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/232040014.htm I thought that a flash meter just metered flash (I have a flash meter, it doesnt give a reading until the flash goes off) but this one looks like it will give ambient readings and flash readings.

What kind of things should I look for in a light meter?

I'm talking 700 dollar Cannon's. I'm looking for a relatively cheap camera that takes good indoor pictures. I currently own a Kodak 640 4.MP, which takes excellent outdoor pictures, but lousy indoor pictures. I'm looking for a good indoor digital camera for a good price. I'm looking for recommendations based on experience with the camera. Thanks for your help
