I'm talking 700 dollar Cannon's. I'm looking for a relatively cheap camera that takes good indoor pictures. I currently own a Kodak 640 4.MP, which takes excellent outdoor pictures, but lousy indoor pictures. I'm looking for a good indoor digital camera for a good price. I'm looking for recommendations based on experience with the camera. Thanks for your help

If you really want good indoor pictures then you'll need to raise your budget some. My suggestion is an entry-level DSLR as offered by Canon or Nikon or Pentax with an off-camera flash.

Regardless of which DSLR you choose, buy the flash made for it and an off-camera flash bracket. You'll be able to use bounce flash and your results will be 100 times better than if you use a digicam with its little built-in flash.

A DSLR gives you more creative freedom and versatility with interchangeable lenses. Its bigger sensor will also give you better images even with fewer pixels. You'll also have less "digital noise" at higher ISO settings.

An alternative would be the Canon G9 and the off-camera flash Canon offers for it with an off-camera flash bracket.
