The fujioptics camera was purchasd in a fairly reputable shop on the main thouroughfare and sold all british makes. they are clearly on display. why does fuji allow them to use their name. also the camera doesnt work properly. i used a credit card do i have any redress as i was clearly mislead by the fuji name.

yes you have been ripped off, by so called good sales shops. they even have a branch of Dixon's but its nothing to do with the real dixons group

They will have a clear stance on this, basically you cannot do anything since you did not buy your camera from a Fuji Authorised Retailer.

Also it is difficult for them to regulate the use of their name in countries which do not have tight rains on counterfeit products etc so this is no excuse either.

Be more careful next time.

If something looks too good to be true (I'm sure the camera you bought was quite a bit cheaper than you'd seen it before.) it generally always is.
Since you used your credit card for the purchase, I would contact the bank immediately about the charge. But they may not be willing or able to help you, since you made the purchase of your own free will.

One more reason to buy locally.

People complain about their local small businesses disappearing and then don't support them.
