I've seen those HOW TO sites on how to take apart your camera and rig things up, but they always warn that it might ruin your camera, etc. I'm not up for that.

All I need is something LIGHTWEIGHT, that can trigger the shutter every so often. Even if it's just once after a certain amount of time. I want this for an aerial photograph. So basically I just need to take it up into the air (via balloons) and then once it's up there take a picture.

I'd prefer an auto shutter type of deal that works universally with any digital camera, and just presses the button every 30 seconds or so. Or something easy to rig up to my camera (without permenantly damaging it) Thanks guys!

I'm so new to photography but I always wanted to start a photography business. I'd like to take close up portraits, landscapes as well as close up nature photos. I currently have a 35-105mm lense that came with the camera. I literally know nothing about lenses, this camera or anything. Any help you can provide would be great!!! Thank you so much in advance!!!

I have a sony cybershot dsc-w80 and I think I might have gotten a fingerprint on the lens because all of a sudden the pictures are blurry. How can I go about wiping off the lens without hurting it?

I have a canon 20d and a canon 70-200mm 2.8l usm IS lens and am looking for a reasonably priced and sturdy tripod and/or monopod for this. Any recommendations on brands and stores on where to buy would be greatly appreciated.

so i took my Minolta XG7 35mm SLR camera to the pool today and did some underwater pictures. apparently, the waterproof bag wasn't 100% waterproof and a little bit of water got inside the bag. i think a little got inside the camera. the shutter won't release; i ****** it, but nothing happened. that wasn't happening before, it just started about five minutes ago. the light meter isn't working either. i took the film out after rewinding it to see if there was any water and there were a few droplets...

did i just break my camera or will it be ok once the inside of the camera dries out? should i take it to a camera place or can i fix it myself? and how much will it cost if i do take it to some camera place?

i don't see why it would be broken, it was only a little bit of water...it was soaked or anything.

Are all the lenses interchangeable? Are the lenses interchangeable with newer Digital SLRS?

Thanks for your help!

I am relatively new to photography.. I just had my N65 stolen... Now I am debating between paying $150 to get two lenses and a N80 or pay around a few hundred for just the body of a F100. Is it really worth it for me to get the F100? Is the N80 as good as the N65? Any other suggestions for cameras? Will the lenses be interchangeable between the three?

Ok i need a total dunny's guide because i cannot understand anything that is being said in the manual.

((I plan on using the camera in its manual mode, not automatic))

What do the letters on the dial (P, Tv, Av, M) stand for?

How do i turn flash on and off?

How do i change shutter speed and aperture?

Where is the light meter?

Any other extra info will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you all in advance!

I'm looking to upgrade from my PowerShot A70 and was messing with the S5 IS at a store this weekend. However, I see the S3 IS is very similar and costs $70 less. I doubt I will ever use the S5's hotshoe and likely will not shoot more than the 1GB (~8 mins) worth of video the S3 allows. I don't really care about the higher resolution sensor of the S5 either. I rarely shot at the A70's maximum 3.2MP. The better continuous shooting mode is also a point in favor of the S3.

The face detection on the S5 sounds like it might be useful and I liked the quality of its EVF and LCD screens. I've read that the S5's displays are one area where it beats the S3. I also liked how you can zoom at two speeds on the S5.

The saved $70 from the S3 would pay for the accessories (lens adapter, filter, polarizer, bag) I plan on getting. I like the S5, but want to know if the S3 will be as satisfying while saving me $70.
