i left my camera in my purse and soda spilled in the purse, what can i do? (its digital)

Unless you enjoy being a thief and/or a liar, ignore Jillie Mae.
Your camera is now a paperweight - a sticky one at that. It won't be covered under warranty and repairs will cost more than a new camera.

Shop for a new one. You might consider a waterproof camera this time.

mine got wet. I said it was hummidity damage and sent in back to the manufature. but since it was soda they might beable to tell that it wasn't humidity because it will be sticky inside. if you have your box you could try to return in and act like nothing is wrong with it.
