I got a new Sony Cybershot for my birthday in August, and dropped it just a few weeks later (on rocks!!) while I was camping! It worked fine afterwards though; even about a week ago it still worked. It looked fine too; just a couple tiny dents. But a couple days ago, I went to turn it on and it wouldn't go on... I thought maybe the battery might be dead?? It's a lithium ion though, and I didn't think they really died... I tried hooking it up to my computer and turning it on; nothing happened. I'm really upset because both my mother & I spent a lot of money on it, and it's so new and I love it... I do have a warranty but have to check the details, since I DID drop it, afterall... but I wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else? Any advice?!

I'm in the process of purchasing a professional digital camera. I'm not a beginner but not an expert either. And I'm torn between the Canon 5D and the Canon 1D Mark II.
I want to use a camera for small jobs such as weddings, portraits etc.
Also, what lense should i start off with. There's the Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6~~~~OR~~~28-300mm f/3.5-6.3.
Please Help!

Thank you!

I have a new digital camera that I used for a special priceless moment. And I was checking the features out on it & mistakenly deleted the pictures & they are no longer on the memory card. I know that there is eternal memory on the camera. I need to know how I can retrieve the images. I really need these pictures back they mean alot to me & I just don't know what to do!

I'm looking for macro for d80.Would like to buy sigma/tamron 150mm but these are somewhat pricey. I've seen some 70-300mm/28-200/300mm that supposedly give you 1:2 magnification at the 180-300 end (with a macro switch). Has anyone used these lenses and are they any good for sharp macro, as I have heard they can be a bit soft. I'm using for shooting butterflies/bees where I need some distance but also sharp detail. Or am I just better off biting the bullet and buying a dedicated macro?

It's got 6 megapixels and I don't think I'm bad at taking pictures, but I just can't get all my pictures to come out as clean and crisp as I would like or as I would expect from my camera. Help! It's annoying having to edit almost all my pictures on my computer.

Some people I'm working with are trying to get pictures of jewelry for their website. They want to do it on their own and want to know if a basic set up like this with a 6 MP Sony DSLR would be good enough to get some good pictures.

Ok so the camera works for the most part, but the lens gets stuck each time i turn it on and it beeps a couple times. I can then pull the lens out forward and it will start to work. SO i decided to take it apart and hopefully fix it. I believe that dirt got caught in the lens and is hindering the movement. If anyone know how to take the camera totally apart that would be great. Currently I have it almost fully apart, but the main circuit board is connected to the battery connectors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking for a digital camera with quick shutter speed, great zoom, and a good size screen. I also want it to be able to last for a long time, and for it to be small. I'm looking for a camera around $200 or less. Any suggestions?
