I'm not talkin about disposals or the high tech ones they use for movies and stuff. Just a nice waterproff digital camera that has no bulky case.

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for an aperture setting and a shutter speed setting for taking pictures in direct sun. I have a really nice lighthouse/sun shot I want to take but I know if I meter correctly it wont be exactly want I want because it will be way to fast on the shutter and way to small on the aperture. Any suggestions for what settings to use to make this what I want?

I'm new to photography. I got my first digital SLR a few months ago and I love it. I'm looking to get my first tripod and I really don't know what makes one tripod better than the next. Is there anything that I should be looking for?

I have a Polaroid One Step 1000 SX 70 Land Camera and since they discontinued the film, I read you can buy 600 and it will fit, and it still works but it has some color differences. Well, I got the film in and it fits alright, but it wont let me take any pictures. I was just wondering if anyone knows if 600 film is really compatible with a Polaroid One Step 1000 SX 70 Land Camera.

I've always been interested in photography. However, I've always been really bad at taking pictures and I haven't had the opportunity to take a class (the class offered at the local University is for majors only). I currently have a Sony DSP-P9, and it takes horrible pictures (noise is bad, colors are off, most of them are blurry, etc). So, I've been thinking about an upgrade.

I was hoping to find a camera that would take quality photos in a wide variety of situations. If I do decide to get serious in photography, I was also hoping to get something that would grow with me, but something that would be easy to use in the mean time. Although I would like something compact, it's not a major priority (but it would be a major plus). Although 3x zoom is okay, it would be great if it could zoom more. Also, it would be wonderful if I could have free reign over the shutter speed (I'm thinking of doing a little night photography). Image stabilization is a must. Any suggestions?

OK, on the Minolta 5D I can't get the LCD screen to display the viewfinder image. It shows the data screens fine and when you take a picture the image pops up on it and looks fine.

Am I doing something wrong...or not doing something.....or is there something wrong with this camera?

Thanks!

I am considering buying a Canon SLR towards the end of the yr...will any of my old manual SLR lens' be compatible with the digital SLRs that are made today?

If they don't fit on directly, can I buy an attachment? Seems like a waste to never use the macro, telephoto, wide angle ever again.

I'm a layman and I want a camera that can take really good pictures without changing the setting. I don't want a lot of settings because its hard to choose a setting when i need to snap a quick pic of the kids.

does anyone know what settings should i use to take really sharp, clean, blury free, good quality pictures?
I just bought these camera and it has many features, that sometimes i don't know what settings to choose. I've taken some pictures but some are ok and others are bad, with bluriness, all beacaus of the settings.

If you can, can you put sample pictures taken with these camera? to compare the quality.

Is there a good website that can teach techniques to take good pictures?

Thanks

I've been a fan of film cameras and bought myself quite a few of cameras. So lately I've been saving up for Polaroid SX70 which I fell in love instantly with! But it seemed like I can't find them in Singapore and those that I found are selling at a really high price!

So I was wondering if anyone knows any shop/sellers/yourself that can sell me a polaroid SX70. I might need a ND filter too!
My budget for the polaroid is around 190 SGD. Thanks for looking! :)
