its a dsc w100 sony. I dont know which settings to change to make it stop taking so long to take a picture.

it's obvious that you have the camera settings on the highest setting possible. Go to the camera on your phone, go to options/settings and change the size of the picture or quality (ex. 640 by 420 is good)

What you are describing is called shutter lag. You can shorten it, in some instances, by depressing the shutter 1/2 way so the camera can focus and then finish depressing it. Its worth a try.

Also, it might be a good idea to review your Owner's Manual. You may have forgotten something.

You need to change the camera not the settings.
