I am trying to decide between a 7.1MP Fuji ($219.99) or a Canon EOS Rebel XT ($699.99)

I wan't something that takes really good pictures, but I don't take a whole lot of photos, so I don't want to spend a fortune.

I can't recall the exact model of the Fuji, so I will post that later today. It has a body-style similar to the Canon, but more compact and without interchangable lenses.

Does anyone know what the size of the sensor in the Fuji is (in mm/inches)?

Looking for details/personal experiences in answers. Thanks!

I am a high school student in year 10. Age 15. And I'm looking to get a camera. Our family has a Minolta 3.2 Megapixel camera and to be honest I don't think its very good quality. Our family is going back to the Uk for Christmas and we will not be going back for maybe over 4 years. While i'm there I would like to get some great quality photographs of family so I can keep them forever. I need a cheap - 150 pounds - at most digital camera that is pretty easy and takes great quality photo's. Also I might be getting a mac book pro and it would be prefferable that the software is compatiable with mac. The camera market is a confusing one. Please give your help.
Thanks
Jake

The following item is found, but not sure how well it works.
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00948248000P?vName=Tools&keyword=tripod

Is it sturdy enough? i mean will it NOT shake if I use cable release with any shutter speed? I don't want my pictures come out with bluring effect.

because my budget does not allow me to buy any expensive tripod. So if you have any other suggested cheap item. please let me know.
THANKS!!!

The main problem with my camera is that it takes a while to turn on, and pictures taken at night are blurry. I'd love to get a new one that takes great pictures both in the daylight and when it's dark, preferably on the smaller side. Thanks

Alright here goes...i have been in the market to purchase a digital camera for a while now, but find that i get a little overwhelmed with the vast amount of camera manufacturers and models that are out there. I know that i want something sleek, and easy to take around with me when i am out and about, but something that also delivers when it comes to picture quality. i am also looking for a camera with multishot capability that i do see with the dslr cameras. i know that i also do not want to spend the amount a dslr would cost because i dont want to go into debt for this. I would really appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank You.

I’m looking for a good protective camera backpack that I could take on everyday travel. Something good for all weather it case it rains ( in Hawaii or other tropical areas) or if I take it to the snow. I carry a canon xt, 10-22mm, 24-105mm, 50mm along with batteries, lens hood etc. big enough to fit my current equipment and possibly a light jacket or tiny purse. Nothing too big, bulky or heavy, as I’m only 5’1. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont care how technologically advaced the camera is i will learn how to use it, i just want something that will last me a while b/c most digital cameras these days go out of style so fast. Also any good advice on photography editing programs i should go with would be great. Thank you

So, I recently purchased a Minolta XG7 with a 135mm lens. the only problem is, I think I need a 50 mm lense also. I mean the 135mm lens is great and everything, but I don't think it's practical. I only bought it because it was super cheap and in good condition.
Does anyone know what kind of 50mm to get and where I could get one?

I take pictures during day, night, all weather types. And of lots of moving activities, sports, karate, children running and playing. I need something that can take a beautiful snap shot of scenery as I am in a vehicle going 60 mph without being blurry.

I need something that regardless of what I am doing, if I turn to take a quick pic it will be identical to what i am taking a picture of.

Something to say WOW about, but nothing ENTIRELY TOO COMPLICATED that only a professional photographer would be able to operate.

I am not interested in something that requires me to change lenses or light bulbs or that weighs a ton.

something under $400

I have often wondered about the quality of your run of the mill webcam. What is your opinion of the best webcams on the market and what should someone look for when buying a webcam?

One of the ones where you take a picture and it pops out the front, one of the older ones. Do they still make them, and if they do, where can I buy one? (film too.)
:) Thanks!
