I'm going to Europe this year, and i'm looking to buy a new camera. My old digital camera pretty much sucks and takes bad photos, even when i change the settings around. I'm looking for a camera between $200-$400 that would take good scenery shots and have clear crisp photos.

This weekend I bought an old 30s or 40s Kodak camera that uses 625 film (black and white or color). 625 produces the square 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 prints. Where can I buy film and where can I get it developed? It has an old roll in it that I am curious to see what's on it if it hasn't been ruined. I only want to put a few rolls through it just too have some old timey pics of my son to compare to some timey pics of his grandparents then I'll put the camera up as a collector.

I have a Nikon CoolPix S5 right now, and it takes really blurry night pictures. Since it's impractical to carry a tripod around with me all the time, does anyone out there know of a good quality and AFFORDABLE digital camera that takes good night pictures?

Thanks to all your wonderful help, recently, I bought a Canon SD 750. I loved it, fell in love with its color accent features, zoom, video and thin, lightweight design. HOWEVER, after only 2 short months of using it, my brother fell into a mud puddle at the park and completely ruined it. I mean COMPLETELY. I wanted to jump into Best Buy and buy the same one again, but I realized that this particular camera ( I think it's the same with the SD 630) does not take very good pictures in a graduation / stage setting. Meaning that when I tried to take a picture of people on stage in dim lighting, the pictures come out very dark, sometimes nothing at all. SO,

does anybody know of a GOOD camera that will take excellent pictures at graduations, or other stage-type events? If so, please respond!! Thank you!!

I really need to get a new camera this week before I go to the beach, but I can't decide which one to get. I'm looking at Canon Powershots A550 and A560, Nikon Coolpixs L10 and L12, and several different Kodaks, but mostly the Kodak Easyshare **C763** and C653. I've looked at DPreview for reviews, but they don't have all the cameras. Anywhere else?? Thanks!

My dad is thinking of buying me one since i keep using his all the time. He said to find something that didn't cost much, so i did online at best buy.
The thing for me is though, I'm extremely picky about quality and how good the camera is rated, like 4 or 5 stars out of five, but this one hasn't been rated by anyone so i don't know if i should buy it because It says its a good camera with crisp close to life images, but it hasn't been comfirmed by anyone that bought it.
It looks nice, black color, Fair Price, and it's 7.0 megapixel camera which is good enough for me cause I'm using this for basic everyday casual use, nothing professional really.
It's from Hewlett-Packward, and it's Brand new in stock,
and I want it really bad.

do you think i should buy it?

Here's a few questions I have for my 400D camera

1) On my Digital Rebel some of my shots in M mode are still way way bright. I try setting the ISO? by the spin dial all the way but it stops at 4000. How can I get nice shots of people/objects in direct sunlight?

2) With my Digital Rebel I have the Canon 75-300MM. I get maybe 5 in 100 shots that are CRYSTAL CLEAR for one reason or another (people subjects). I used to do all AF but now I'm trying to do all MF with the M feature for light and it hasn't improved any. I have noticed only my very close shots from people about 10-15 feet away will come in PERFECT. When I use say 200mm-300mm the shots are still nice but not as nice. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this expected?

3) Lens filters.. I don't have much money and some ARE much more expensive than others. Are there differences? I want to REALLY highlight blue skies above all else.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am led to believe lithium batteries and lithium-ion are not same. That lithium-ion will far out distance aa RECHARGEABLES, right?

2007-09-03 04:59:55 · 3 answers · asked by Vintage Music 7

I'm begining to understand batteries...a little.
Two cameras identical, one using lithium ion the other using AA rechargeables. The only advantage the AA has is that for quick purchase they can be had very easy. So, all things being equal the lithium is a better choice since it lasts a heck of a lot longer, right? But lithium-ion batteries don't come in the AA size , right?
