Recently we went to the WEBN fireworks and between 3 cameras none of us was able to get a good picture with our digital camera's. All cameras are kodak and 6 plus mp. Anyone have any suggestions? We used the fireworks setting and still was not able to get a good picture.

I had my water bottle in my purse and all 27oz. spilled all over, it got my wallet , my digital camera, along with everything else wet. My camera won't turn on and the screen seems to have liquid in it. Is it over or can I save it??

Hi,

I am just starting to get into photography as a hobby and I want a digital camera that will be suitable for me to start off with. I wanted to get 8+ optical zoom, and I have been told that 6 megapixels is more than enough, but can't decide on a specific camera, as I can't be sure if they have enough manual controls. Given that I want to spend $300 can anyone reccomend a couple of cameras to look at, or avoid?

So I have this Digital Camera and I love it! I kinda dropped it in water but it still works. The only thing wrong with it is that the flash button doesn't work anymore, it's stuck on "no flash". The cameras keep getting lots more megapixels but it seems to me that more isn't necessarily better unless you're going to blow up to poster size. My needs are for computer/tv display and for the occasional print.

i know the SLR camera's are higher end... but what is the main difference between an SLR and a regular camera... actually, what does SLR stand for to begin with?

btw, the camera my friends have told me to get (as a transition between point and shoot and a more professional camera) was the Nikon 6.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera (Model: D40)

hi. well...i lent my sister when she went to greece my beloved camera...and she came with it a little broken. the grey shutters that cover the camera lens when it's turned off won't work....they are jammed...i really dunno....do u know anything bout this kind of prob? or shall i go to get it serviced?:|

I just broke my Sony cybershot camera on vacation and I've realized I need a camera that can take a beating; I think everyone does because who wants to baby a camera when there's a party happening or you're out snowboarding, wake-boarding, hiking, etc...? I know Olympus makes one that's shock-proof and water proof which is pretty cool but it costs $500 (canada) but I'm looking for something cheaper (less than $300)
