IS there ANY way I can fix this myself? I don't feel that it is worth the money to get it repaired.. that's if I even had the money. If I had that kind of money I would just buy a new one.

Just banging it against a table or anything?

Go ahead and bang it on the table. You're going to be buying a new camera anyway so why not let out some frustrations? Seriously, it will cost more to repair than to replace.

Happy shopping!

zoom lens can be not so durable on small pocket camera - so it's quite common for this.

I don't know how much would it cost to repair the camera - but I would guess about 100 bucks or may be even more. If it's more than the cost of the camera itself, just get a new camera.

What good would it be if you bang the camera against the table?

you have killed it and it will probable value extra to repair, in the event that they might get the aspects for it, than the cost of a clean one. this is many years old so getting a alternative isn't that elementary.
