As they have practically all the functionality of a Digital SLR, yet costs a fraction as much - £155 for my S6500fd, compared to about £999 for a Fuji S5 PRO Digital SLR.
Just don't have changeable lenses, which in one way is a bonus point, as Digital SLR's apparently have a tendency to get clogged up with dust inside where the lens hooks up to the camera, and eventually need mailing off to be serviced every once in a while.

This is the main reason I got my Fuji S6500fd, to have a shot at making some money with this:

But I'd rather have a Fuji S5 Pro (replacement for the S3 I previously wanted) or a Nikon D40 / D80 / D200 / D300 if my Bank Balance was considerably larger than it currently is.

1. The favorite one I have is the Fujifilm Finepix F10 because of it's performance in low light.
2. The favorite one I don't have that's for sale is the Fujifilm Finepix S3 Pro UVIR because it see infrared and ultraviolet.
3. The favorite one I don't have and doesn't exist yet would see three primary colors in infrared, three in visible, and three in ultraviolet.

my old Kodak Retina IIA, but I like the instant gratification I get using my digital camera too, and instantly tossing out the bad shots! (Olympus C-5050 Wide Zoom)

I own one and its great. Focuses in a split second.

When your chasing a train for a good pic, you do not always have the luxury of alot of time.
