i have a Nikon n75. the view in the view finder has become dark, and the need new batteries light flashes.?

a red light flashes when i press the shutter button. the film will advance and the flash goes off. what could be wrong?

After long deep thought and use of my electric Ouija board I think you should buy some new batteries.
