So, I recently purchased a Minolta XG7 with a 135mm lens. the only problem is, I think I need a 50 mm lense also. I mean the 135mm lens is great and everything, but I don't think it's practical. I only bought it because it was super cheap and in good condition.
Does anyone know what kind of 50mm to get and where I could get one?

Just visit ebay and search for a Minolta MC ROKKOR-X 50mm f1.4 lens. You should find one for $25 or so.

Consider selling your 135mm and buying the Minolta MD 70-210mm f4* constant aperture zoom. Avoid the 70-210mm f4.5/5.6 - its cheaper but it isn't as good.

You could forget the 50mm and go for the Minolta MD 35-70mm f3.5* constant aperture lens. This and the 70-210mm will take care of a lot of your photography.

*Leica was so impressed with these zoom lenses that they had Minolta build them with Leica mounts and sold them as the Vario-Elmar Leica zooms.
