Ok so the camera works for the most part, but the lens gets stuck each time i turn it on and it beeps a couple times. I can then pull the lens out forward and it will start to work. SO i decided to take it apart and hopefully fix it. I believe that dirt got caught in the lens and is hindering the movement. If anyone know how to take the camera totally apart that would be great. Currently I have it almost fully apart, but the main circuit board is connected to the battery connectors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

And about how much would it cost to repair in a service center if necessary?

Look through your Owner's Manual. Some where in there you will see a lightning bolt icon beside the word WARNING! "Do not attempt to repair camera yourself. Severe electrical shock can result."

This is because of the capacitor for the flash - it stores 1,000's of volts needed to fire the flash. Someone posted a story earlier today about getting a burn on their thumb from just such a discharge.

Send your camera in for a cleaning. It won't be covered by the warranty so plan on paying.
