Do you have an owner's manual? It should tell how to open it. I don't remember a model called FM100. Is it the F100? I used to have one, and I believe there's a latch on the left side that opens it. Let me try to find a manual online for you.

I just realized, you could mean the FM10. If so, here's a manual for it.

The D200 is a digital SLR it is not a 35mm SLR. 35mm is a film camera which is probably what is required. Check with your instructor. There are many cheap used 35mm cameras out there. Check out a good camera store in your area or Craigslist. Look for a used Nikon or Canon film camera. They will be around $200 for a really good one with lens. If you will have access to your uncles lenses I would go for the Nikon. If not it doesn't matter.

No, it's a 10.2 megapixel SLR digital camera. 35mm is a film classification, this camera doesn't use film.

There should be a winder button on the top of the camera. It has a little wheel on a lever, pull that lever up, and pull again to open the back.

When all else fails, READ & STUDY the Owner's Manual. You have to study your camera just as you do history or math or science.

put the film in your pocket, and when you have snapped the camera 24 times remove the film from your pocket and have it developed.
