I've been super interested with photography since I was a kid.
When my mom bought a canon powershot 460 (simple digital camera) I just couldn't stop taking pictures. I'm just worried I might not maximize the features of a DSLR coz I don't have much knowledge about it

I have an Argus Quick clix 3185 digital. I have just had it a little over a year. I am always having to replace the batteries. They don't seem to last long at all. Maybe sometimes a week, but usually a few days. I do not know why this camera is doing this. I assume there is something wrong with it. I guess I will have to call where I ordered it and they can replace it since I purchased and Extensive service plan. But does anyone know why it would continuosly use batteries as quick as it does? Thank anyone for any help..

I'm looking for a new digital camera, but would like to have more control over the options. Is there a compact camera that has an aperture of say, f/16?

I'm wondering if I should get a d80 now or if I should wait for what Nikon will release next. I could easily wait, but does anyone know when that will be?

Also what is wrong (if anything) with buying from a discount online site (http://www.stop4camera.com/shop/Product.asp?sku=nkd80) so long as they offer a warranty? I've read about some problems with hot pixels, but besides these defects, what do you need a USA warranty for (vs grey market)? Last time I purchased a digital camera, I tested it and the competition in store, but found the bargin online. I would like to do that again.

Also any suggestions on what Nikkor lenses should be avoided and why (some people complained about the kit ones)? I'm shooting for an overall budget max of $1200 so I think the 18-200mm VR is out.

And lastly, is a $200 price difference with the d40x worth going for it instead of the d80? Thanks

I want a camera that can take action shots. I don't want blurry pictures. Like when I go to a concert. I want clear pictures of the band members.

I sent someone photos, she wrote back stating that the photo's resolution are 72 dpi. and that she needs the resolution to be 300 dpi

Can I change the resolution of the photo's on my computer? Or must I have a camera that takes 300 dpi

Two are scanned photos, the others were taken by my digital camera.

I've read a few related questions and it seems that some of the older models had options for enabling date stamp to the image, but the recent ones don't have that option and some just don't have that option at all like my old Fuji one.

I like the date stamp feature and so far I've been manually adding text to the image for the date stamp and it becomes time consuming.

So... does anyone know or has anyone recently bought a digital camera that gives you an option to turn on or off the date stamp? If you know a brand which usually includes this feature, that will be helpful or if you can tell me the brand and the model name of the one that you know has this feature, that will be good too.

Thanks in advance!

We are purchasing one this week and we're choosing between the two. Which has better photo results, and which is more durable? (Kindly share your experience please, it would be invaluable. Thanks!)

I am taking a photography class in the fall of '07, and I need a specific kind of camera. It has to be SLR, 35 mm., not digital, and not automatic. (I don't really know what any of these mean.) If anyone has a camera like this, or knows of where I could get one for a fairly inexpensively, I would really appreciate it.

I have a Kodak Z7590 digital camera, and a ativa SD 1MB memory card. There is a picture on the SD card that I can see in the view finder, but can't share, copy, transfer to camera's internal drive or print it. When I try to transfer or print, the camera tells me it can't find the memory card, yet the picture can be viewed on the camera. I even tried to access the SD card from my computer and it won't open the files. I figure it's gotta be the memory card. I've tried PC Inspector and RescuePro with no luck.

Any suggestions?
