I have an Argus Quick clix 3185 digital. I have just had it a little over a year. I am always having to replace the batteries. They don't seem to last long at all. Maybe sometimes a week, but usually a few days. I do not know why this camera is doing this. I assume there is something wrong with it. I guess I will have to call where I ordered it and they can replace it since I purchased and Extensive service plan. But does anyone know why it would continuosly use batteries as quick as it does? Thank anyone for any help..

unfortunately its not that unusual, digital cameras drain batteries i have a Nikon f5 film camera that uses 8 at a time and only lasts for 5 rolls of film! as above really buy a good set of rechargeable and keep a set fully charged on you, as you have the extended service plan you could have it checked out anyway, you may as well use what you've paid for!

It is a problem with some digicams. If they will replace it, go for it.

Meshellie: I am surprised t hear your F5 runs through batteries that quick! That is not normal for the F5. My F100 will do 40 rolls on a set of 4 AA batteries, and I have a photog friend with 2 F5s and an F6, with no battery usage problem. Maybe get it checked.

If you've dropped it multiple times that is one major reason it's not working properly. It could also be that the area that should be connecting the batteries isn't working properly. Your best bet is to send it in for a referbished on or buy a more reliable camera like canon or sony

common problem with cheaper cameras....you should be using rechargables and have another set ready to go.
you can also extend batery life by not viewing all your pictures everytime you take one...this eats up the juice!
