i'm looking for something not too expensive with at least a 4x zoom. something that is thin with a big screen. can take audio movies. with IMAGE STABILIZATION. thanks so much. =]

Casio Z75 or Z1050 is a great choice, nice and thin, lightweight, shoots photos and video with sound. Easy to use controls and a 2.5" screen to view.

I would check pcmagazine.com & pcworld.com. they review digital cameras frequently. I would also check the consumer (star) ratings on Amazon.com plus I would call B&H Camaras in NYC (212.444.6615). The staff is very informative and not pushy. Apparently, that is where the pros and Hollywood go for their equipment. I bought my last three cameras from there and have never been steered wrong...
