The vernal equinox is in the spring. What happens tomorrow is the summer solstice, or the longest day (light) of the year. There is nothing to photograph unless you are at an ancient calendar, like Stonehenge, In that case, be there at sunrise.

There are two solstices and two equinoxes per year. The equinox is the point where day and dark are equal, happens in March and September.. The solstices are the shortest and longest day., in June and December. Together, they are the basis for most of the world's religious celebrations.

As far as how to Photograph such an event, I am not exactly sure, but this should help tell you what you are looking for.

Vernal equinox and autumnal equinox. These names are direct derivatives of Latin (ver = spring, autumnus = autumn), and as such more apt to be found in writings. Although in principle they are subject to the same problem as the spring/autumn names, their use over the centuries has fixed them to the viewpoint of the northern hemisphere. As such the vernal equinox is the equinox where the Sun passes from south to north, and is a zeropoint in some celestial coordinate systems. The name of the other equinox is used less often.
