My price boundary would be $500 or less would be better. I'm thinking whether a Canon or a Sony. I currently have the Canon IXUS 750 but I don't why I'm not that happy with it, no problems though, but I think theres better out there. I like the Sony N2 or the T20, or T100 but I heard that Canon's are more durable. I want a wide screen and that anti shake whatever. and also I want 1 second thing, that thing that takes the photo fast with no delay. my canon delays sometimes. and also curious about thouse underwater camera's but that's a different matter, are they just cases or the entire camera altogether? thanks for the help. =)

After waiting 14 hours with no answers in section of LANDLINE phones, maybe some of the regulars here can help me.Written yesterday.
As of 6/14 getting rid of land line service. Maybe for 3 months, maybe for 6 months. To save on battery drain as much as possible, do I take battery out of land line cordless phone or leave it in and keep it charged with phone charger plugged into electrical outlet?

I have a 1GB Kodak Memory Card inserted into my digital camera... So far, the camera has been working fine... until about 10 minutes ago... I only had 23 pictures on the card and JUST shot a 18 minute video. I turned it off and then plugged it into my computer a few minutes later to upload my pictures and videos onto my laptop... But when I clicked on it to open it from "My Computer", it said "would you like to format the card?"... I clicked no, unplugged my camera and turned it on again... It said "card error" and wouldnt take any pictures or let me view anything... what is wrong? Can i fix the problem w/o reformatting the memory card? (and loosing EVERYTHING).... Any help is appriciated!

Im looking for a camera that of course has professional quality, but it has to be less than 400 $ which i know isnt a lot to work with, but i want the best camera i can get. I was thinking about the cannon sd900, but it doesnt have image stablization, and is that really necessary? And the 10 mp, does that contribute to how sharp the image is, or just how big you can make the photo become, bc i dont really need them to become that big. As well, my parents were also planning on buying me a more expensive camera for christmas, is it even worth buying one now, or should i just wait til i can get the really nice one? i was also thinking about the Olympus Stylus 750??. i really just am confused about it all. im new to it, but id really like to get the best camera possible for my money.

your help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi, I was recently deleting video from my Kodak v550 and accidentally deleted some video that I wanted to keep. Is there any way that I can retrieve those files I just deleted (don't have a memory card reader, just a usb hookup to computer)? Thanks a ton.

Last week, I purchased a Nikon FM10 35mm manual camera on Ebay. The seller told me that the camera was in EXCELLENT condition. Since it had been a while since I used film, my parents helped me load the camera and taught me about aperture and lighting. I just finished my first roll and sent it to 1 hour photo, and when I went to pick it up, the lady told me that the roll was completely blank. Is this a problem with the camera, or a problem with the way I loaded the film? I would like to know because if it's a problem with the camera, I would like to try to get my money back. Help!

Consumer Reports for July 2007 has a review of several digital cameras. Frankly I'm disappointed. For instance... Their top rated compact camera is the Canon Powershot S2-IS. My daughter owns this camera. It's a great camera, but it was introduced in April 2005. The S-series has gone through the S2-IS and the S3-IS and the S5-IS has just been introduced. You can't even find a copy of their "top rated" camera on the shelf anywhere. The S3-IS is 8th on their list, being marked DOWN for image quality from the S2-IS. The G7 is 12th on the same list, ranking below both the A640 and A630. Somehow I simply don't believe the A630 is better than a G7.

In the subcompact class, their top choice is the Sony DSC-N2 (9 months old), but the second choice is the Canon SD430, which has been on the market for almost two years now.

I know it takes a while to test things properly, but what is the point in ranking digital cameras that have been out for almost two years?

I love to take pictures and want a digital camera that doesn't have the 2-3 second delay from moment of pressing button until image capture. Something that snaps the photo as quickly as a 35mm but digital. Preferably a starter camera for a beginner that does mostly family and a few scenic (birds, deer, etc.) photos. Something not so expensive (if that's possible). I have a small Canon digital but miss shots of grandson because of the delay. I need to know exactly what to ask for when I go to shop because the people in the camera shop roll their eyes at me sometimes because I don't understand all the technical lingo. Can anyone help me out here?

I need a user friendly Camera, preferably a Nikon or an Olympus. One that is friendly to teenagers with, a preferably adjustable shutter speed. I would like it to have around 7 megapixels, a high optical zoom and be lower than $250. If you have any reccomendations, they dont have to fit all of those requirements, I would really appreciate the advice and reccomendations.

My bro gave me a Digital Picture Frame, 7 inch diagonal screen, Model number 3044-BK. But it has no owner's manual. I can't believe there isn't a manufacturer's name on it like Hitachi or Panasonic or Kodak or some name like that. But it doesn't. I tried a google search for a company named "Digital Picture Frame" but that didn't appear to help.

About all it has on labels that identify it are these words: "Digital Picture Frame Mode No.: 3044-BK." Then there is info on it being okay with the FCC and it's made in China and "S/N 07A307021101."

It looks like a nice unit with a battery and remote control and capable of inputing pics from flash memories and there's a USB port.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me. I figure once I get the manufacturer's name, I can get an owner's manual download from them.
