Something that takes good outdoor and indoor photos. Will be used for taking pics of family and friends. I want to be able to zoom in on the person, and take good action shots without being blurry. 4x6 photos are all it needs to be able to take. I want optical zoom not digital, and automatic focus. I have a $600 minolta camera, it is ok. I got it for the zoom.

Now I need to buy a cheaper camera for everyday use. I need one that is digital, under $200 and can catch things in action. I want to be able to catch my son in action, he is a yr old and WILL NOT stand still so it has to be fast.... what can you suggest?

I am a amatuer photographer, with little experience, but a very inspiring instructor. I was hoping to buy a digital camera for myself sometime soon, but I only have the funds for a camera that is under $150 USD. I would mainly be using the camera for portraits (of people) and landscape shots. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a camera for me.

It concerns a digital camera's image quality. My digital camera has SHQ 2816x2112 and HQ 2816x2112. They are the same pixels but the SHQ are much larger. What's the diferrence??
