I have a Canon PowerShot A610 right now and it seems too bulky to carry around with me. It's a 5mp camera and the image quality is the best I've seen from a digital camera in its class.

I am wondering if I can expect the same picture quality from the Canon PowerShot SD600 6mp camera? I know megapixel doesn't tell you anything about image quality, so will someone with experience with Canon digital cameras please tell me if selling my A610 for a SD600 is worth it?

I'm finally crawling out from under my rock and upgrading from film to digital. I know the basics of pixels and how it really has to do with how the image will print. But does the higher the number mean the better the image? I'm currently looking at a camera with 10.2 megapixels...is this good? Any help appreciated, thanks!

Hi,

What is the best dSLR camera that meets these requirements:
1. Low noise in high ISO
2. Low noise on dark spots (shadows)
3. Low noise indoors with lack of light
4. 10x or more of Optical Zoom (can be external lens - name model)
5. Colors that will blow your mind :P

I. 8 megapixels or more is preffered
II. Antishake system built-in or equivalent

Please name few cameras and the lens that will fit (if needed).

Thank you very much.

10 points will be granted to the best answer.

I now have a Kodak easy share cx7300. We liked it, but dropped it a few too many times. I want one with a bigger screen. I want to pay $400 at the most. Something good but easy to use would be nice.

I want to get a canon powershot digital camera, but there is more than one version, and I don't know which is best. I need a widescreen, so I can get everything in the picture, without half of something being cut out of the shot. like only half of someone's head makes it into the picture, ect. I want to avoid that from now on. I heard powershots had widescreens, now I just need to know which one to get. Thanks.
