No digital camera model, as opposed to manufacturer, will stay in the market for any length of time. The manufacturers appear to give all models - from the cheapest compact to DSLRs little more than 6 to 12 months shelf life at present, before a new, supposedly 'updated', model is introduced. But there is no 'need' to update - if the camera you eventually buy still works and suits you, then why be seduced by advertising, or what journos in camera magazines tell you, into updating when a new model comes out.

All the big brand. Nikon and Canon. Sony won't give up that easy. Samsung also a big manufacture company which I don't think will shut their operation soon

There no flashing-products can stay long on market nowadays. Just buy things that suitable for you.
In my opinion, use the canon S80. That is great and worth your money.
Cheer!
P/s: You can buy it cheap on eBay. Check it here: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1818011&mpre=http://search.ebay.com/canon+camera+s80
